The union representing about 500 City workers is putting an offer on the table and holding a vote on it next week.

City administrator David Trawin said Friday the deal comes after about four months of negotiations.

The current contract, for municipal staff outside of RCMP and firefighters, expired Dec. 31. CUPE local 900 represents the workers.

"Negotiations have been respectful. Both sides have moved off their original requests in order to come up with an agreement that I feel is beneficial for both sides," he said.

The deal still needs to be ratified. It has already been reviewed by City council.
